The Truckee Renaissance Faire takes place Saturday, September 20 from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday, September 21 from 10 am to 5 pm in the Truckee River Regional Park. "Los Medicos Voladores" with Speaker Bob Horvath
Bob Horvath is a 64-year-old entrepreneur/engineer who flies his twin engine private plane into remote villages of Mexico where Los Medicos Voladores (Flying Doctors) provide free medical service to its inhabitants. Los Medicos Voladores has been providing medical services since 1978 and Bob has flown 33 missions since 1994. Bob carried the Olympic torch through Truckee for the 2000 Olympic Games in honor of six Los Medicos volunteers who died in a plane crash. No host bar from 6:30 to 7 pm, program begins at 7 pm at Resort at Squaw Creek. $10 donation requested. No charge for children and students with ID.
